Important Leadership and Philanthropic Accomplishments of Dr. Moshe Kantor
In 1953, Dr. Moshe Kantor who is of a Jewish background was born. He got his degree in Moscow Aviation Institute in 1976. He did his masters in Science where he got a Ph.D. in Space Craft Automatic Control system. The Dr. is also known as a businessman because he is the leader of the Acron Group which is a company that has been publicly traded. This is a company that is known to be the largest mineral producers and distributors in the world.
Dr. Moshe was appointed to be the president of the European Jewish Congress in the year 2007. The job that he is still holding up to this day. You should note that he is also a visionary and he is mainly confined to fighting against racism. His primary focus is to ensure that the Jewish people are free and secure.
He works to make sure that they have revitalized the Jewish life in Europe and beyond. His position in the EJC is what allows home to be able to represent the Jewish people entirely. Being the president of the EJC, he can be able to come up with some strategies and plans that he should put in place. This is a large organization that serve over 2 million people. It includes the Jewish people that are found in over 42 national Jewish communities.
Other than taking care of the needs of the Jewish he is also known to be promoters of the Holocaust education. He mainly want to ensure that people learn about the past especially the tragic events of the 20th century. His desire to make people aware of the history of the Jewish community is what lead him to start the World Holocaust forum. He is also the chair of the European Jewish Funds. His dedication to the Jewish community is what lead him to start and lead the Krakow international events. The event was held in 2005 on the 27th January. This was the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi liberation camp 60th anniversary. He is not only a chairperson but also a founder of the EJF. The company’s primary agenda is to make sure that they have reinforced the identity of the Jewish communities. They also strive to make sure that they have reconnected the young people with their rich and essential Jewish heritage.
In the year 2008, Moshe founded the European Council on Tolerance and reconciliation. He now serves as the president of this organization. This is a non-government organization that compromises of the former heads of European States, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and other individuals that are known to promote the principles as well as tolerance between the two cultures. Their agenda is to ensure that the Europeans do not meet with any bias.
